TERREMOTO A KRALJEVO

Il coordinatore locale del Tavolo Trentino con Kraljevo, Ilija Petronjievic ci scrive una lettera descrivendo la situazione della città di Kraljevo, dopo il terremoto che l'ha colpita il 3 novembre 2010.

3 of November at 1:56pm earthquake 5,4 Richter scale (between 7 and 8 of Mercalli) hit Kraljevo. Epicenter of earthquake whose 10 kilometers north from Kraljevo in village Vitanovac. (27,5 kilometers deep in the ground). In this earthquake two person, Natalija and Siniša Stašić, die and more then 200 whose injured (mainly contusion wound, slash and acute stress). After this main earthquake Kraljevo hit more then 300  smaller earthquake from 1,5 till 4,5 Richter scale.
Till this moment Municipally crisis board receive around 13000 damage application. From that number  6025 houses and flat are controlled (10 of November). 1094 object are declared “out of use” what practically means that people need urgently to go out and to find alternative solution for living. Till this moment they move in manly in relative’s house and to other alternative accommodation facilities. Municipality make agreement with all local hotels, resorts and all other public and private institution which have accommodation capacity to accommodate people without place for living. In this urgent action of accommodating Municipality of Kraljevo involve also touristic place near Kraljevo Vrnjacka Banja and Mataruska Banja. Rest 5121 objects are declared like “for recovery – safe for use”.
During earthquake 450 electric transformer station are destroyed what cause big problem in distribution of electricity. Till today system is back in function but board of Electro distribution system of Serbia are afraid how this weak system will react on over use during winter period (because in Serbia still electricity is a dominate way of heating of flats). Expert team of Institute for public health Kraljevo and Republic sanitary inspection declare that water in Kraljevo supplying system is not for use. Telecommunication system is in use.
Four schools in center of city are damaged: elementary school "Svetozar Marković", secondary Medical school, Mechanic-technical secondary school and secondary agricultural school. Three school in village around Kraljevo are damaged: school in Vitanovac, school in Ladjevci and village Milocaj (roof fall down). One pupil and one student hostel are damaged. Also University for mechanic have smaller damages. Because of security reasons school will not work till 15 of November 2010. Monastry Zica is also damaged (north wall is broken).
