On Monday April 16, the first mid-term project evaluation took place in Rrëshen – Albania. The training course for Hospitality Management and catering was activated by the Albanian Vocational School of Rrëshen – Shkolla e Mesme Profesionale “Shën Jozefi Punëtor, in collaboration with ATB Onlus, the Vocational Institute of Levico and Roncegno for Hospitality management, and the cooperative Alisei scs. The project is funded by the German Cooperation (GIZGesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit). Once it had started at the beginning of March, the first mid –term evaluation took place. Positive feedbacks were given by the German representative of GIZ. Under the guidance of 3 teachers – Besjana Zefi, Ilir Gjoka e Fatbardha Reci, who had been trained in Trento in February, students prepared 4 different 3-course menu. Finally, each menu was evaluated by commensals on the basis of taste, presentation, plating, and catering service. Among the numerous guests at the event, there were also the Albanian Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi, the Mayor of Rrëshen, Ndrec Dedaj, and other several hotel and restaurant managers from Mirdita Region.
Enthusiastic about the implemented path and the first results achieved were also the representative people from Trentino, ATB Director Maurizio Camin and Paolo Fellin, CEO of Alisei. The meeting lunch with local hotel and restaurant managers was a fruitful opportunity to express the commitment and the necessity of implementing the cooperation relations between Rrëshen and Trentino area, especially in the field of training of trainers and know-how exchange.
